PowerSheet Prep Pages | My October-December Plan of Action

With 2019 closing in on me I want to get a jump start on 2020 PowerSheets. With current tending lists, the kids football schedule and my own full time teacher job, I know I'm going to have a ton of time in large chunks to work on my PowerSheets Prep Pages during the schedule week (December 9th) that Lara and her staff have set aside to help guide us with these pages.

With all that in mind, I really wanted to map out specifically those days in my life where I had devoted PST (my own way of saying PowerSheets Time).  What I did may not shock you if you a devotee of my blogs or You Tube channel.... I created two calendars November and December using the May and March 2020 Calendars from the planner.  All I did was slit between each of the coils, removed those months, photocopies those May and March, and inserted them right back into the planner with no issue.  It's that simple.  Let me show you how they turned out!

Here is November.  I did white out the "May 2020" and put heart stickers on the page numbers but I think it turned out great!  I did reinforce the bound side with the Tending washi tape before I used a 1/4 inch whole punch to punch the binding holes. This not only aids in it staying in my planner, it also makes it a nice decorative touch.

On the back side of each calendar page, I did use the New Gift wrap to back those pages so they weren't just white. The gift wrap really is beautiful with all it's gold and who doesn't love some color!  I could have left each backside nonfunctional, but I did add a 3.5 inch high pocket to add some of my WildCard Page Pack sheets to and I also added a peptalk postcard by slitting the paper just an inch to insert the corners of the card.  That way I can interchange them as the months move along:)

Now I do have two weeks in October that I didn't want to devote a whole calendar to so I used the Weekly Sticky Note pad to write out my first two weeks of prep work.  I thought these would work great because they have a great top three section near the top where I can write the major pages where I need to focus on more than one day too.  It definitely keeps those pages front and center!

December worked out just as lovely, but I want to focus only on writing the goals I've prepped for in this month.  I've spread them out so I would work on each goal writing page for 2 days and then move on to the next.  Thankfully I will be done writing before the holidays!  BTW... I really enjoy the Erin Condren Petite Planner functional stickers in the PowerSheets.  Not only do the colors go so well, the sizes line up very well!

Let me close by saying this:  PowerSheets in more than just a planner that helps you achieve whatever goal you have for yourself.  I really is a tool to change your mindset and focus!

Below is the video I did on adding months and my prep schedule, so feel free to click on that if it interests you!

2020 PowerSheets | Video and Review

The 2020 PowerSheets are Here!  on October 16th at 10 AM est.  Cultivate What Matters launches!

Now if you are new to PowerSheets or aren't very familiar with them, they are a proven scientific goal setting success sheets. She has developed them from the ground up for 9 year and having the strongest year yet!

I was lucky enough to snag it and all the accessories before launch day so I could show you first hand how beautiful they really are!

The exterior touches include a linen cover.  I choose mine in pink, but the others include Blooms, Teal, and Confetti. This year the tabs are more sturdy (and pretty) with a touch of gold in the lettering and a thin piece of lamination on the top to protect it the whole year! :Let's also not forget the corner brackets that will keep you PowerSheets protected as well!

Another interesting thing she and put together is a guide on what cover you could choose for the area of focus you'd like to goal plan for.  I didn't see this until after I ordered but I can tell you that it is spot on with my intentional goal this year!

This year also add two new fantastic editions.  The first being a gold coil.  It's a wire-o bound planner, so you could technically change out the cover because it is super easy to do but it also is much easier to add pages to it as well!  The other great edition is the inside pocket.  Now it is too shallow for the goal planner sticker book, but it would hold you wildcard packs and the weekly sticky notepad!

There is also copious amounts of gold foil, either on the pages and definitely on the dividers!

Along with the PowerSheets, there are several accessories that I would love to share about.  The first being the Accessories pouch.  I chose mine in blooms but there is also teal and green. This pouch measures 7 inches by 9 and made of very sturdy water proof fabric. It has very sturdy hardware as well as interior lining that pulls out fully to make sure all the crumb get out of our bags!

Washi Tape is ALWAYS a hit!  The set of 5 makes a great way to add in those extra pages or just add a bit of flair to the months.

Honestly, what I love about Cultivate What Matters is the positive attitude displayed throughout the planner and all their products.  They really want to see you make your goal and live your life better than you did before.  If they met us personally, they would hug us, console us, and most definitely encourage us every step of the way!

Now here is the video flipping through every single page of the PowerSheets.  I did do a separate video highlighting all the accessories and I will also get that one out to you as soon as I can!

Erin Condren WAREHOUSE SALE! | What I bought!!

Erin Condren's Summer Warehouse sale is going on and in full disclosure I wanted to show you what I got and why!

I've been waiting for these Metallic Tabs to go back in stock and now they are on clearance!  My sole intention is to get these for my petite planner to divide up my lined journal into sections! #yeah
I think these, again are going to be helpful when I divide up a new dot grid journal into sections so I can keep running lists for each month!

I couldn't help but by this for my Black Folio for the upcoming fall season!  Plus it is our school colors so why not!!

I also have a turquoise petite folio cover and I thought a monochromatic look would look smashing!

Then I bought ALLLL theunctional stickers for my Petite planner. I didn't put all the pictures here just because you'd have to scroll down for DAAAYYYSS. There are  a LOT! But I thought $1.75 for two sticker sheets?!?  Giddy up! #nobrainer

Yes, I have enough washi but I love the way it turns from this blue to the pink mid century circles!

I am totally intrigued by these mini calendars.   I know we spend 30 seconds every week covering them up in our weekly view but there are always times where I NEED a calendar in a certain place and I don't have one.  So there you go!

I've never seen wet erase markers in these colors so I thought I'd pick them up!

Because I bought a teacher planner too:(  I thought these would be great for holding all the stuff together especially chunks of the the planner I am not using right at that moment!

I've never tried these for easy access for the week.  I chose these over the woven wonder ones because the colors but, honestly I don't know If I'll use them :)

So there you go.... I spent about $50 bucks and added on a teacher planner, 2 folios (black and charcoal)  and a petite book.. this one.

I am totally intrigued since I have always struggled with just this statement.  I'm not sure if it's for kids or adults but by golly, I will let you know about this Kindness Campaign collaboration with Erin Condren!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

* NEW * Back to School Collection by Erin Condren

The New Back to School Collection by Erin Condren is just what I needed to give me that final push to put the final touches on my office space.  While I am a long term substitute teacher and bring some parts of this collection to work with me, the majority of it will stay home in my creative space.

If you want to skip right to the unboxing and installation video, I'll link it right here.  Otherwise you can read and see all about it here!

It's hard to start off with a favorite but these little gold bookmarks are certainly one of my favorites from the collection.  I love how heavy they are for one thing. And because of that and how tight they are, once you put them in place they are NOT going anywhere.  I like it when the page flops right to your spot because of the weight of these page holders.  Now they don't work with just slipping a piece of paper under them and moving on, they are better for long term archiving of pages.

And in that same paper chip genre there are several gold and rose gold options for these diamond paper clips.  Now I know we probably already have several decorative paperclips that work already but these are special because of the diamond shape.  Because there are many turn of the metal, you can either use it a just a regular clip or if you put it under 2 of the diamond rings, it becomes a TAB!!! Now I can just look for the paper clip sticking out just slightly and know where my place is!

These Gemtone push pins are clear squares with a colored ball inside.  They are definitely made for attention to detail because the face of the push pin has a diagonal line for added detail.

And I'm kind of obsessed about the way they can be stored. It has a retractable hook handle to store the ones I'm not using at the time on my peg board!

The gold memo board had 4 very strong magnets on each corner, so putting it on my galvanized metal sign is a great way to add it too my wall.  BTW it's cheaper than hanging it with command strips too!

On the right you'll see a Notepad with has a very sturdy colorful chipboard backing and top.  It is perforated down the side where the list section is AND perforated on top.  FANTASTIC addition to my home management system where everyone knows when and when to be and a place to write down their suggestions for groceries.

I can't look past this other fine addition, the desk calendar.  I made mine into a wall calendar because I like my work surface to be quite sparse but this one is perfect right above my desk.  Every month is a metalic color corresponding to the primary life planner color and I love the way it shimmers in the sunshine.  Makes my heart happy! ( there is a picture of it filled out at the top of this blog post)

I love this acrylic ruler!!! The font is perfect and it sure will come in handy when measuring with the kids at school.

And then there is the 4 piece desk accessories collection.  It comes with a file folder holder ( where I am storing my 2020 inserts and extra bound notebooks), a pen holder , a catch all for sticky notes and extra bits and an horizontal inbox for papers!

* NEW * Erin Condren Planner TOTE

Welcome back!
Can I just talk about this tote for a minute...  I wasn't 100% sold on this bag because, really, who needs another tote bag, right?!  Well in this You Tube video I talk about why I got it and gave it an honest and (very) throughout review.

If you are at work, and can't watch you can certain read and see the pictures I've got if you keep scrolling!!

Let's start with the exterior. I chose the navy canvas although there are 2 other faux leather ones as well. There is faux leather accents everywhere to elevate it from your just basic tote.  The plastic edge covering on the leather is just a testament to the attention to detail Erin Condren is known for.

The strap which measures 2 in wide, is quite heavy from it's gold hardware but I'm sure it is absolutely durable!  You can customize which of the 3 color ways, this one is classic, another one is pastel and the last is sorbet.  I chose the classic, red white, beige and blue version.

Let's dive deep with the interior elastic pocket.  Although I 'm scared to death of putting any liquids near my planner and supplies, my 20oz Yeti fits with room to spare.  You can also put your (dry) umbrella or pen case in there for easy access.

It does have 2 more pockets of 6 inches deep, one is 4.5 inches wide and the other 2.5 inches.  I've got my sunglasses in one and my laptop cord in the other.  Obviously you can hold a hole host of different things in these two pockets, although I kinda wish there was an interior zipper pocket though.

There are 2 zipper pockets on the exterior through.  I tried both my spiral bound and my EC Binder.  The 13 inch deep pockets fit the spiral bound with ease, although topping off at 12 inches wide the binder was a little snug to try to jam it in the pocket.

Now I tried several different arrangements of planner and life supplies to see what configuration I preferred the best.  It does hold all three of my EC planners, my binder punch, pen pouch and sanitary items.

If I take out my on-the-go folio, I could then add my laptop to a zipper pocket and my Yeti to the interior.  Unfortunately, I can't fit the whole kitchen sink, but I do think that it will hold just enough of my teacher supplies that I will be in business when back to school starts!
